Texture’s collection includes unique large-scale designs produced in several qualities from Velvet to Embroidery, offering a glimpse of soft and subtle to exotic scenes and vibrant colours. Their sophisticated fabrics capture both classic and contemporary style in print and weave, while their range of trimmings and tapes reveal a wide range of designs encompassing faux, velvet and embroideries in stunning colourways.
2022 brings the introduction of Textures Wallcoverings, a full range of simple and accessible wallcoverings for both the residential and commercial markets.

For this brand focus we delve into the world of trimmings, the perfect finishing touch to any interior. A new offering for Altfield, trimmings can be used in a multitude of applications from curtains and cushions to lampshades and blankets, offering a splash of colour or pattern to your living space. With the wide array of trims now on offer at Altfield the world is your oyster, with qualities such as beading, applique and embroidery now available in our showroom.
Texture fabrics offer a broad range of tape trimmings. Once used purely to finish off a raw edge, this type of trimming has come a long way from its functional roots, with our modern day decorative techniques the design possibilities are endless.
Applique
This type of trimming is all about layers, with decorative shapes and patterns stitched onto a base. These trims tend to be more on the delicate side making them perfect for decorative cushions and curtains.
Velvet
A type of woven trim, this style uses cut velvet techniques to offer a dense, structural pattern in a wide range of colours and designs.
Beaded
A type of highly decorative embroidery, beading is stitched to tape to create a luxurious embellishment. Like Applique this type of tape trimming is delicate so suited for decoration only.
Crewel
A type of embroidery that uses wool thread to create a textural pattern, using a thicker wool yarn makes this decoration much thicker and heavier than traditional embroidery making it harder wearing.
Embroidery
One of the most popular types of tape trimming with a the huge diversity of techniques on offer. The design possibilities are endless for this type of trim, with a vast variety of stitch, widths and styles available.
Matelassé
This type of stitching technique creates a trim that appears quilted or padded, mimicking the style of hand-stitched quilts made in Marseilles, France.
