Comment: I chose this as I love the look of natural wood grain combined with the handsome chevron effect, and that it's lightweight enough to wrap around corners and columns. It's great to see how innovation with wallcoverings enables us to introduce the natural look of wood while using fewer trees.
Installation tip: Get the wallcovering delivered to site early and left in the room a few days before installation as it's natural wood so needs to season/acclimatise to room conditions. Goes in seamlessly.
Comment: We love how this wallcovering gives subtle texture to a room, without being overpowering, which makes it highly versatile. We've installed it successfully in many different scenarios and if installed well it is pretty seamless.
Installation tip: beware this wallcovering expands quite a bit once paste is applied. Need to take your time with this one as it's easily stained.
Comment: This was a very unique installation for us and we love a challenge. We've actually just been back to site 6 years later to fix a damaged section and it's still looking great. Total showstopper.
Installation tip: It is installed as tiles rather than by the drop. It's a very rigid product so it takes time and needs a clay-based paste.
Comment: Another unique installation process for this one. We love the innovation of this creation as it was designed to be installed on top of wallcoverings or paint and can even be put between glass.
Installation tip: Take your time, it's quite tricky to install well (so many holes!).
Comment: We like how the different colours of sisal are used to create the pattern with texture and the subtle shimmer that weaves throughout.
Installation tip: it will need trimming so make sure you use a very sharp blade to avoid fraying.
Comment: We love working with handmade wallcoverings where every piece is subtly different and you can sense the effort and passion of the creator in bringing it to life. Vahallan is a new brand to us, but I'm sure we'll be installing much more in the future.
Installation tip: Speak to the client to ensure you know how they'd like it installed as this wallcovering can create a tiled look or more organic scenic. As it's handmade it is of course delicate and you need to have your wits about you to ensure the best finish.
